Alex Attard was born to play music. This native Californian began playing the saxophone at eight years old, and has been performing live since. Attard’s professional carrier began after receiving a B.A in Jazz Saxophone Performance from California State University East Bay.

To date, Attard has played with Hip-hop, Jazz, R&B, and Funk legends including Billy Hart, Eddie Daniels, Peter Erskine, Wycliffe Gordon, B-legit, Ernie Watts, Mic Gillete, Steve Knight, Lenny Pickett, Benny Green, Stefon Harris, Seamus Blake, and David Sanborn. The diversity of Alex’s musical relationships reflects his style and musical talent. Although Attard continues to expand and develop his craft, from Jazz, hip-hop, rock, soul, electronic, funk, R & B, Blues, and Ska–musically, there is not much Alex Attard has not already mastered and incorporated into his unique style.

In addition to leading his own band Chocolate, Alexander Attard can be seen playing with the Floorshakers, Lucky Devils, Hit Waves, Conscious Souls, North Beach Brass Band and many more.
