Who is Alex?
A passionate musician and dedicated educator who has been a prominent figure in the Bay Area music scene for over a decade.
Born and raised in The San Fransisco Bay Area, CA, Alex began his musical journey at the age of six with piano lessons and later took up the saxophone in grade school. His love for music continued to grow throughout his adolescence and into his university years.
Alex refined his skills at California State University, East Bay, where he earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in music, specializing in Jazz Saxophone and Jazz Studies.

Performer

A dynamic performing artist known for electrifying stages across the Bay Area and beyond.
His extensive touring career has led to collaborations with renowned Grammy Award-winning musicians from iconic bands such as Tower of Power, White Snake, Doobie Brothers, Santana, Earth Wind and Fire, and Steely Dan.
He has also shared the spotlight with notable artists like Lenny Pickett from Saturday Night Live, as well as the Tommy Igoe Groove Conspiracy, Kyle Athayde Dance Party, and Two Friends, among many others.
Educator
A dedicated educator who’s guided thousands of students to excellence throughout his 13 year career.
Alex has taught lessons for prestigious programs in San Fransisco, as well as privately, both in person and online.
Alex worked for San Fransisco Symphony’s “Adventures in Music” program where he curated a show on brass band history and performed for thousands of 3rd to 5th graders. He then joined their “Music and Mentors” program, providing Saxophone, Flute, clarinet and music theory lessons to middle and high school students throughout the city.
His private lesson students have gone on to achieve incredible things, like completing all eight grades of ABRSM piano exams with merit and distinction, and earning top chair positions in the California All-State Band and local school jazz and symphonic bands.
